Course Description

For some men, not having seen a doctor in years is a badge of honour. Yet behind this reluctance lies a significant challenge: men are less likely to ask for help, more likely to suffer in silence and more likely to engage in behaviours that put their health at risk. The result is poorer health outcomes and, as described in the UK Government’s 2025 Men’s Health Strategy, “a crisis in men’s health that ripples through families, workplaces and communities.”

The good news is that there is plenty we can do. Our newly updated Men’s Health course provides practical, evidence-based guidance on important men’s health issues commonly encountered in primary care. Topics include prostate cancer screening and PSA testing, recognising and investigating testosterone deficiency, and responding to the growing clinical challenges associated with androgenic anabolic steroid use. We’ll also cover topics including LUTS, acute testicular pain, haematospermia, and mental health.

So, if it’s been a while since you gave your men’s health knowledge a check-up, please do join me and Duncan on Friday 18th September for the fully updated Hot Topics Men's Health in Primary Care course.

The webinar will be carried out as a half-day session on Friday, 18th September 2026, starting at 9:30 am and finishing at 1 pm.

You will be able to claim 3 hours of CPD credits for viewing this online webinar.
